Office
The National Health Education England office is based in London, by Russell Square. There's space in the Trainee Information Services (TIS) team for 15 people with desk space but people regularly work from home. We share our office space on the 3rd floor with the national information team, and London I.T. There is also another office in Leeds where most national teams are based, at Blenheim House. HEE has a number of other local offices around the country.
From Home
A lot of people from the Trainee Information Teamwork from home. Please see your line manager to make sure this is fine.
From coffee shops and libraries
Working from home isn't for everyone. A lot of us sometimes choose to work from coffee shops or other spaces. Please do mind basic security rules and procedures to ensure that no sensitive data leaks. We are part of NHS England (NHSE), and in theory can work out of any NHSE office. Unless specifically on a home working contract, you will be assigned a nominal base, which should be the nearest to where you live. At date (Nov 2023) current practice is for TIS staff to work from home and visit offices as they see fit. If there is a rule concerning mandatory attendance in your base office will be confirmed by NHSE at some stage.
Typically, your base of work will dictate who provides your IT and how you are connected to the wider organisational communications, some of which may be base, or regions specific.
When we have confirmation of the new organisational structure, a link will be posted here.
