Sprint Priorities

The following list was the prioritisation output from Sprint Planning:

Product Management

• High level Product and solution design tasks across Phase 2 and Phase 3 on the roadmap
• People List/CRUD stories prep for dev
• Placements elaboration
• Trainee UI - confirm field details and UX/UI
• Post funding elaboration
• Programmes and Curricula audit and tidy existing stories in backlog and SML review of first increment
• Business Engagement - SML for Programmes and Curricula engaged through MS teams etc

Development

• Posts - backend and UI development
• People backend
• UI permissions
• E2E tests not working with user logins
• Low priority: UI - fix create button on scaffolded screens
• Low priority: Remove amend submission tab from Revalidation
• Low priority: Form R screen within Revalidation - (Alistair has contacted the two teams using FormR within Reval and both have confirmed they are happy for us to remove this function until delivered through TCS)
• Low priority: Manage Connections, mothball to outstanding user responses needed to manage user expectations

Data and ETLs

• DRv2 - Intrepid DR v2 
  • Second iteration of the DR supplied by Hicom, clarification asked of Hicom around Removal of sensitive fields (ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religion, password) as these are V1 fields still listed in the document
• Mirror go-live and optimising mirror queries - ETL/Reval SQL Query Performance
  • To further improve the query performance and scalability, I have been investigating SQL Server MOTS (Memory Only Tables), currently the Azure SQL Server installation is of a standard type, where as Premium is required to support MOTS.

DevOps

• Terraform continuing

This iteration covered the creation of: A cleaner responsive login page in keeping with new iterated form design, optimised for mobile. A header and menu format that had consistent branding and also optimised real estate with locking menu A responsive menu from mobile to desktop. A new order of menu to optimise trainee usage. A hard working landing page based on trainee usage and available data for MVP (scrapping idea of a summary/welcome page) A design for ‘Placements’ - giving the user the information they need most with the least cognitive load. A responsive template, taking data from user friendly tile list view on mobile to grid view on desktop. First look at design of tables/grids - non sortable and sortable Refined colour coding from intrepid, keeping concept users will be familiar with but improved logic of colouring. Created data overspill template for mobile if needed.
