Programmes - Overview

As part of TIS Core Services we must specify what functions are to be considered MVP and therefore need to be supported by TIS in order for Intrepid to be retired. In order to achieve this we must analyse the services to be developed and the functionality required to provide a sufficient method of achieving the day to day requirements of the business.

It was previously thought that Programme and Curriculum would exist as separate services. User research has allowed us to alter our understanding and collate the 2 together. Programme in this context is essentially a container for all aspects of a learners training. A Programme is approved by the GMC on a local basis (there will be multiple Programmes for each specialty as each local office has an individually approved Programme whereas only 1 currciculum per specialty exists.) To the Programme various entities are added such as a person, post, curriculum which along with dates.
