Revalidation Pilot - status

EOE have successfully managed to submit an outcome to the GMC. so far 35 recommendations have been made, and counting. The majority of submissions have been deferrals (2/3rds). EOE confirmed that all submissions appear to have worked correctly by checking on GMC connect.

#revalidation channel in Slack is now active with our 5 Revalidation SME's invited and joined as Single Channel Guests. They also have access to Staging so we can review suggested app changes dynamically with them, where we believe these to be non-trivial and nationally applicable.

beta-007 Release Note

beta-008 Release Note

  • you should now be able to directly e-mail a trainee using the mail icon on the trainee details card, a tooltip with the e-mail should also appear when hovering over it with the mouse
  • the concerns form should now have a new optional "Contact Person" field
  • the submitted to GMC tab should now be properly paginated (will be visible once we open up live submission to GMC)
  • we have added submitter and RO details to the revalidation archive, they will now be stored along with the other archive data upon a submission to GMC
  • we have added a new column to the revalidation dashboard "Date Added" - this shows the date when the revalidation episode was created (when the trainee came under notice)
  • we implemented part of an app performance overhaul - 3 rounds 1.4 s → 240 ms
  • The icon shown in browsers for the applications have been updated.
  • We fixed a problem in IE11 with fonts and glyphicons was causing them to disappear across refreshes.
  • the system will no longer allow you to submit doctors who are not currently under notice, one will not be able to reach or operate the recommendation screen in that case
  • once a revalidation episode has been submitted to GMC, it is removed from the under notice list and placed in the "submitted to gmc" list
  • check recommendation status should now work properly, within 24 hours one should see the GMC recommendation status appear on all submitted to GMC revalidation episodes (including ones already submitted)
  • created the RVObserver and ConcernsObserver user roles, assigned most live users to these roles except for the actual RVAdmins and the EOE RO, this means that only the proper admins can submit to GMC in live, everyone else can observe but they cannot modify the data in revalidation or concerns

Hicom Core Data has been mapped using their document v.10.8. The data model is in place and the Swagger API definitions for the existing services and the outstanding APIs have been merged.

DevOps

The builds have been consolidated into two types; Spring Boot and Nodejs applications. The two build types converge when building Docker containers so they are labelled, built and pushed consistently. The process makes automating and auditing the releases more straightforward.
