What is the purpose/benefits of recording exams data on TIS? What’s the problem we are trying to solve?

  • Trainees progression requires them to go through exams (through ARCP pannel)

  • To streamline the process of tracking trainees progression

In order to record any of the Royal Colleges data on TIS, there will need to be a Data Sharing Agreement signed between the parties involved.

  • Frequency of receiving/sending back the data?

  • Interim solution until an API is developed

What happens if a trainee changes Specialty, e.g. GP changing to Psychiatry? Do we need to keep both GP Exams and RCPSYCH Exams?

  • A record of the exam data to be kept up till 6 years after they’ve qualified from the Royal College exam.
