The West Midlands local office is the national Tier 2 and Tier 4 lead sponsor for trainees in HEE. They manage the applications from these trainees and issue the Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for Tier 2 applicants and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for Tier 4 applicants.
May to July is the peak time for applications as trainees apply upon appointment to their training programme.
The trainee cohorts under the responsibility of West Midlands are:
- Specialty Training (inc. General Practice) and Foundation
- Tier 4 dental trainees
