Handbook
Handbook's are a core part of working anywhere when a new person joins they're expected to figure out a lot of things for themselves and similarly when they leave, they take a lot of the knowledge they gained with them. Generally, new starters feel their induction, or introduction to the company is stressful and unhelpful and implementing a method to fix that such a handbook is a great step to onboard new members of staff.
This handbook is intended to outline what's known at HEE, our culture, our ways of working, our process and our history. It's a book of spells for understanding when someone says ALBs or FormR to you. When someone asks you to look into generic upload or asks if you're going to the Brunswick.
If you’re reading this just after joining HEE, it’s particularly on you, actually. Please take advantage of that glorious, shiny ignorance of being new, and question things.
Expectations
We don't expect you to be up and running on the first day. There's a lot to learn and a lot of little details. Working with a bunch of new coworkers in an office you don't really know can be strange, especially if members of the team are working remotely. If you're struggling with something like access or setting up your environment, please ask!
