1We need to make sure that it is simple for users to get reports and be self sufficient in this process.  Need to take into account that a lot of the users (including some of local office information team staff) do not have SQL skills/abilities and therefore need an efficient reporting system.  It needs to be able to handle producing complex reports.  I agree that it needs to support new analytical and business intelligence structures but it also needs to deliver on normal everyday reporting processes.  I also like the idea of having a data quality dashboard so that data managers can have an overall view of the state of their data

What would I like to see as standard reports?

  1. A programme fill chart to show trainee occupation in a programme over time. At the moment I do this manually in a grid as per attached illustration below. This is immensely useful for programme and recruitment planning and management.
  2. I'd also like to see a report on programme output (that is, CCT or its non-medical equivalent) in terms of numbers predicted or expected to complete training over time.
  3. Finally, we were promised drag-and-drop placement management functionality with V10 which has never materialised. While this is not strictly reporting, there is an overlap between the 2 functions. Cheers.

3We'd like the reporting tool to be able to create templates for us, as we currently have with our own NW in-house reporting tool ( Lemon ).  For example, when we run our rotation report through Lemon, the data is automatically added to an Excel template into a particular format that has some hidden formulas and VBA to do additional tasks.

4I agree with Dale - the North East would like our users to be independent in running reports with a suite of national reports as well as North East specific

Please find attached the list of reports that London currently create from Intrepid.   Some of these will continue to be produced from the DR ahead of the national DW being available. (see Excel file in Files area)

You need to be aware that the actual field names that have been used to generate the output columns/fields for each report will vary from Intrepid to final output due to the underlying logic used to create the Mega Reports.

Please find attached ideas from our Primary Care team on reports they require. There will be more from other directorates in due course as our local working group have been tasked to look at this for their teams.

Some standard reports EoE would like to see:

The Defence Deanery report that goes to them on a monthly basis - All they require is names of the military trainees in your region, which programme they are training on, where they are, their last and next ARCP details with names of Educational / Clinical Supervisors and TPD.

James Harris has also been working on a report to replace the Vacancy Matrix as it hasn't been well received by a lot of the trusts in our area, It holds information such as the start date range, post number, specialty, site and trust as well as details of the current trainees and the incoming trainees, This is currently a WIP, but I'm sure James will be happy to share the SQL Report?

we would definitely like a copy of the Vacancy Matrix once it's available, please.
