Discussion & Assumptions

  • Confirmation that there is nothing currently delivered by Intrepid?

Joanne Watson (Unlicensed) - My understanding is that there are Standard reports and availability of Report Builder within Intrepid. Not 100% sure, but have previously heard of Power BI tool also. Can you please confirm?

Yes and No

The Report Builder function should work but doesn't.

There are standard reports in V10 but they work with varying degrees of accuracy and Report Builder doesn't work for local offices who need to produce/extract data.

The Power BI tool I believe is the LaSE tool

  • What’s the expectation from a delivery perspective?

See here

Local offices may have different expectations

3
  • should reports be customisable or standard?
Both; but accessible in different ways by different user sets (outside of TIS)
4There are currently Standard Reports available in Intrepid. Is there an expectation that the proposed reporting solution that will be available to access within TIS would have those standard reports available? If so, who will be responsible for delivering those if not the TIS team?

5What are the MVP reporting requirements?Depends if MVP is what they can currently do or what the end users could do if the system worked as it shouldJoanne Watson (Unlicensed)
6Which of the Local teams uses reporting?Appears to be the following: HETV, HEW, HEYH, HENW, & HENE.Joanne Watson (Unlicensed)
7What reports are run on report builder? Who runs those reports? How often/When are they run?A vast range - differing in complexity. All staff can run them and they are run daily, weekly, monthly etc.Joanne Watson (Unlicensed)
8Do we need to deliver those report definitions that are currently available on Report Builder onto the proposed reporting solution within TIS?  Who will be responsible for creating/delivering those if not the TIS team?

Some, will need to speak to SMLs from local offices to agreed with reports are needed.

Suspect these maybe some of the reports produced via SSRS

Reading through what's available so far, it appears like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is the proposed solution. How will access be given to this tool? separate authentication?

No idea - need Ray's input for thisJoanne Watson (Unlicensed)
10There is also mention of Data Warehousesing project which I have limited knowledge of. What's the objective of it and it is part of TIS requirements?Again, need a call with Ray toJoanne Watson (Unlicensed)

Agreed Next Steps

  • Obtain sample list of standard reports (AP)
  • Arrange configuration of standard reports within SSRS (RH)
  • Write up scenarios in detail
  • Specify field validation changes & rules
  • Refine stories to reflect user journey, scenarios and field validation
  • validate with SMLs
