Background

HEE initiated the TIS Programme in 2016 with the acceptance of the business case by the HEE Board.  Initially, TIS worked with a Digital (Delivery) Partner who was responsible for setting up the infrastructure, setting the approach and delivery method – which is known as “agile” and helping to integrate staff.   

There have been two major releases: 

1. Revalidation – proof of concept and released in early 2017. 

2. TIS Core Services – the replacement for core Intrepid released in test in late 2017; released to the “early adopter team” in March 2017 and fully deployed by end May 2018.  Subsequently deployed to Trust users at the end of September 2018. 

Additionally, TIS data is available on HEEs national data warehouse and accessible to all users using a reporting tool called Tableau. 

NIMDTA (Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency), indicated their aim is to join TIS and migrate from their version of Intrepid.

Aim

To safely transition NIMDTA to TIS with minimal disruption to all parties. 

Data Alignment

Data alignment work has started between NIMDTA and TIS looking through the Hicom provided Data Repository Extract with a view to cleanse, align, identify gaps and archive as appropriate.
