beta-006

Summary

Revalidation Archiving, Custom sorting for ARCP's

Date

Highlights

  • At the point of submission to GMC, we now take a snapshot copy of all relevant revalidation data and store it as an archive which is also available to be viewed. Snapshot data includes: revalidation, trainee details, arcps, concerns, form R, placements and contact details as well as submitter information. All data that a user would see in the UI at that point in time is copied and stored. The archive is immediately available for viewing from the "Submitted to GMC" tab. Please note that because the submit to GMC permission is disabled in live, this functionality will not be visible currently but it is an essential part on the path to enable GMC submit in live.
  • because of a recent Intrepid database change, where a trainee's grade appears in the revalidation UI (trainee card, arcps and placements) now has the grade name rather than the intended abbreviation, this has now been fixed and the abbreviation (grade code) should show up again (please note that due to changes in intrepid data again.... the trainee card still shows the full name, we found this to be the case upon deployment to live)
  • tweaks to the Sanity tests to make them more robust, video will be presented at the next show and tell and a recording of it will be available afterwards
  • Inspectlet (an analytics tool) has been installed but will be disabled for live for now, again, a video will be presented at the next show and tell
  • A new column has been added to the revalidation dashboard showing Sanction yes/no, this information comes from GMC connect
  • users will now be able to change a recommendation at all times before the point of submission to GMC (even if it's ready to review or ready to submit)
  • custom sorting algorithm for ARCP's that are registered on the same date, this accounts for trainees multi specialty (curriculum) and for situations when an ARCP outcome is changed for various reasons such as paperwork being filed - in all these cases, the most relevant ARCP outcome should always be on top, also we have added two new columns to the view: curriculum name and programme name
  • all calendars will now be able to properly parse copy pasted dates in different formats, most formats are supported including dd/MM/yyyy - this should make it easier for users to copy paste in dates when filling out forms
  • the displayed columns picker on the dashboard has been tweaked to function better, you will notice the icon now turns black when active, the column picker is animated and is closed when clicking the icon again, finally the icon does not appear if there is no data on the page (such as an empty watchlist)
  • pagination has been enhanced, one will now be able to directly go to the first and last pages, also all pages are now 50 results, up from 20
  • the last ARCP date should now properly show on the revalidation dashboard, previously it was always empty
  • the help icon at the top right of the masthead no longer invokes the JIRA popup to signal bugs and features because it does not work in IE11 and JIRA has no support for it, instead, temporarily this will launch the e-mail client to send an email to Alistair Pringle, we intend to remedy this in the future
