Access Rabbit brokers on Amazon MQ

Access Rabbit brokers on Amazon MQ

Our RabbitMQ service for both stage/prod environments runs on Amazon MQ which is the managed message broker service provided by AWS. We also have a VNC server setup which allows remote access to the Rabbit brokers. To access RabbitMQ, follow the below instructions:

  1. Download a VNC compatible remote desktop client

  2. In your remote desktop program, enter the public IP address of the VNC-Server (can be found under the EC2 section of AWS) followed by the port number 5901 - i.e. 35.162.173.4:5901

  3. Enter the password (can be provided by the @opsteam)

  4. Select Applications → Internet → Chromium Web Browser

  5. The RabbitMQ management interfaces for stage/prod are bookmarked, select whichever you wish to access

  6. Enter the login details (can be provided by the @opsteam)

  7. You now have access to the RabbitMQ brokers hosted on the AmazonMQ service

(Please see https://hee-tis.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NTCS/pages/2968944641 for an updated way of accessing the production/staging RabbitMQ UI).
